***IMPORTANT UPDATE***: The Youth Freedom Fund will be on hold for the month of February to allow time for program strategizing and structuring. We plan to return back to our normal schedule in March, with the application opening on March 3rd! Thank you for your interest and patience — please email development@gsanetwork.org if you have any questions or concerns.

Youth Freedom Fund Request for Proposals (RFP)

Your GSA is making a real difference, creating a safe and supportive space for trans and queer youth at your school. We see the impact you’re having, and we want to help you keep it going strong. That’s why we’re excited to announce the second year of our Youth Freedom Fund! This fund is here to give GSAs like yours the resources needed to make great things happen. Whether you’re planning an event, starting a project, organizing a campaign, or keeping your club going, we’re here to support.

We look forward to receiving your inspired and community-driven proposals. Together, let’s devise a world where TQ2S+ young people thrive with dignity, self-determination, and delight.

How to Apply

This application should be filled out by the GSA club President, Vice President, or Adult Advisor. To be eligible, your GSA needs to be active and registered for the current school year (2024-2025).

Your project should include most of your club members, and the contact information you provide should match what’s already on file for your GSA registration. If your GSA isn’t registered yet, make sure to do that before you start the application.

Reminder: Check the eligibility checklist before you submit!

If the application is submitted by the GSA club President or Vice President, they’ll need support from your Adult Advisor or a school administrator. The project should be youth-led, but a school representative needs to review and approve it before you send it in.

Applications are currently on hold for the month of February and will re-open on March 3rd!
