How to Get More Club Members!

1. Host Socials with Snacks & Music:
Throw hangouts with snacks, drinks, and music—think pizza parties, boba runs, or chill meetups with a playlist.

2. Leverage Social Media:
Create and regularly update your GSA’s Instagram, TikTok, and Discord to share meeting info, event highlights, and positive stories.

3. Announce Everywhere Students Are:
Share meeting updates in group chats, on your school app, and through digital bulletin boards—don’t forget morning announcements!

4. Rep Your Club at School Events:
Set up vibrant, interactive tables at club fairs, spirit week, or pep rallies—hand out custom stickers, pins, or candy with QR codes linking to your socials.

5. Collaborate with Other Clubs:
Team up with popular clubs for joint events or mutual shoutouts—think movie nights, open mics, or workshops.

6. Visible Support:
Give out rainbow pins, bracelets, or pronoun buttons. Add digital badges to social profiles to show support.

7. Creative Promotion:
Design eye-catching digital flyers/memes for big events and share via Stories, group chats, or around campus (with QR codes for easy info).

8. Teacher & Staff Allies:
Ask supportive teachers to display GSA posters in classrooms and wear GSA pins. Invite them to meetings and events.

9. Bring-a-Friend Challenges:
Run friendly competitions—who can bring the most new members? Offer fun prizes like gift cards or exclusive swag.

10. Inclusive, Fun Events:
Host themed meetings (movie night, game night, guest speakers, creative workshops) that welcome everyone, including allies.

11. Amplify Student Voices:
Host open mics, story-sharing circles, or zine-making sessions to let members express themselves and build connections.

12. Make Everyone Feel Welcome:
Have a welcome crew or “buddy system” for new folks. Follow up with DMs or thank-you notes to make them feel valued.

13. Digital Presence:
Build a simple website or Linktree with all your info, links to resources, and an anonymous suggestion form.

14. School & Community Visibility:
Create a Queer History Month display, collaborate on school-wide campaigns (like Day of Silence), and get featured in the school newspaper or podcast.

15. Spread the Word IRL:
Hand out business cards or stickers with your GSA’s info. Drop them in lockers, libraries, or favorite student hangouts.

Tip: Always keep it positive, inclusive, and student-led—make your GSA the place everyone wants to be!
