We Call for Land Justice and Environmental Justice

This year’s assembly uplifts Point 8 of the Nine-Point Platform: Land Justice and Environmental Justice. We center the leadership, wisdom, and lived experience of queer, trans, and BIPOC youth who are on the frontlines of movements for ecological and racial liberation. Join us in a moment of learning and unlearning to see a just future!

Core Messages for 2026
• Environmental justice is racial justice. Pollution, land theft, and extraction are rooted in white supremacy and colonial violence. Liberation requires healing our relationship with the Earth.

• We inherit a legacy of resistance. Our ancestors left us tools of survival, righteous anger, creativity, and reverence for the land.

• Youth are leading. Queer and trans youth of color are reshaping climate justice, urban farming, landback movements, and abolitionist organizing.

• Self-determination through local action. GSAs and youth groups can move from education to strategy to community-rooted action.

• Healing and culture matter. Ritual, art, storytelling, and intergenerational conversation help restore balance and spark imagination.
