Amanda Goad joined the GSAN Board in 2015. Amanda also leads the LGBTQ, Gender & Reproductive Justice Project at the ACLU of Southern California. Ze previously worked at Inner City Law Center, the New York City Law Department, and the national ACLU’s LGBT & HIV Project, and volunteered in leadership roles at the Greene Hill Food Cooperative and the West Village Trans Legal Clinic. In 2015, Amanda was named to the national LGBT Bar Association’s annual list of 40 Best LGBT Lawyers under the age of 40.
Amanda is an alum of Harvard Law School and Rice University, and a former 5th grade teacher. Outside of social justice work, ze can often be found hiking in the San Gabriel Mountains or playing with zir cats.
